Carmel Psychological Associates, P.C., is a fully integrated, multidisciplinary, multi-specialty group of individual mental health clinicians providing a diversity of specialized psychotherapeutic treatments. Carmel Psychological has been in practice for more than twenty-five years.
An emphasis is placed upon brief treatment approaches, often utilizing a family-systems perspective. Specializations are offered in psychopharmacology, child and adolescent treatment, psychological and neuropsychological testing, marital and family therapy, co-morbid disorders, sexual disorders, and separation and divorce issues. Through our subsidiary, The Calmer Center, behavioral medicine and biofeedback services are offered.
Our professional staff of New York State licensed psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric social workers, nurse practitioners and psychiatric nurses are participating providers with most HMOs and managed care plans. Staff affiliations exist with Putnam Hospital Center facilitating inpatient treatment if necessary. The customary self-pay fee for an individual, marital, or family session is $155, with reductions available for hardship. Emergency service is provided and a 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week answering service supports the group's clinicians.
A fully integrated satellite office is based in Yorktown Heights, New York. Although all administrative functions are centralized, that office can be reached by calling 914-245-0437.
