Jeffrey M. Simon, Ph.D. Dr. Simon is a New York state licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in marital and family psychotherapy and behavioral medicine. He has advanced training in biofeedback, a subspecialty in stress-related and anxiety disorders, and frequently works with adolescents. He is a trustee and board member of the National Association of Psychiatric Health Systems, a member of NAPHS's Strategic Planning Committee, and formerly on the Steering Committee of the Council of Behavioral Group Practices and the Executive Committee of the Association of Behavioral Group Practices. He serves as well on the Editorial Advisory Board for Practice Strategies and Managed Behavioral Health News. Dr. Simon is the Chief Executive Officer of Carmel Psychological.
Dennis Orlowski, L.C.S.W. Mr. Orlowski is a New York State licensed Clinical Social Worker and the Chief Operating Officer of Carmel Psychological. He specializes in solution oriented, short-term psychotherapy with adults and couples.
Richard Altesman, M.D. Dr. Altesman is a New York state licensed psychiatrist, certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is the former director of Stony Lodge Hospital and the author of numerous journal articles dealing with a wide variety of psychiatric topics.
Maurice Haberman, M.D. Dr. Haberman is a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist who has been practicing Psychiatry in a broad array of settings over the past 30 years. He has worked in Community Mental health centers in the public and private sector as well as private practice. Current interests are the Anxiety and Mood disorders. Thorough diagnostic evaluations and Psychopharmacology services are offered.
Thomas Kay, Ph.D. Dr. Kay is a well-known and respected Neuropsychologist. He is the Director of Neuropsychological Services for Carmel Psychological. Dr. Kay oversees neuropsychological evaluation and treatment services for children and adults, in both the Carmel and Yorktown offices. He spent the past 23 years in the field of clinical neuropsychology, almost all of that associated with the Rusk Institute / New York University Medical Center, where he conducted research and had a private practice. The past decade has been spent in full time private practice in Manhattan and White Plains. Dr. Kay’s specialty is mild traumatic brain injury and post-concussion syndrome.
Frances Roach, M.S.N. Ms. Roach is a New York state licensed psychiatric nurse and clinical specialist with eclectic training and background. She provides individual, marital, and family treatment to a widely ranging population and functions as clinical supervisor for the organization.

Maryellen D'Ambrosio, MS, RNC, PMHNP, BC Mrs. D'Ambrosio is a NY State licensed Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry and is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Mrs. D'Ambrosio specializes in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and has over 12 years of experience with this specialty population. Mrs. D'Ambrosio is certified to prescribe medications in New York State and utilizes a holistic approach in assisting children, adolescents, and their families in need of mental health care. Mrs. D'Ambrosio practices in both the Yorktown and Carmel offices.
Rickie F. Daniels, L.C.S.W. Ms. Daniels is a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents and families. Credentials include a Master’s degree in social work from Columbia University; as well as being a member of the National Association of Social Workers. Ms. Daniels was an adjunct professor at Fordham University for several years; and has participated in many conferences and presentations. Ms. Daniels has also supervised many other clinicians through her 24 years of experience in many different capacities.
